Jake McNiven
President, Thames Bluewater Métis Council
I was born and raised in London, Ontario, where I live with my wife Natalia and our children, Simon and Maria. Our family roots are in the Red River region of Manitoba, where generations of Métis ancestors fought for their rights and recognized their responsibilities. I’m honoured to continue that legacy by building community and sharing our culture here in Southwestern Ontario.
Cora Bunn
Chair, Thames Bluewater Métis Council
Cora Bunn is a proud Métis citizen with family names Longlade and Dusome. She brings a strong history of leadership and service to her role as Chair of the Thames Bluewater Métis Council.
Cora has previously served as the Region 6 Women’s Representative on the Métis Nation of Ontario Women’s Council for two terms, as well as President of the Grand River Métis Council for two terms. Through these roles, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting Métis women, strengthening community connections, and advancing Métis governance and engagement.
In addition to her leadership, Cora is a devoted mother of six and grandmother of seven, and she values the importance of family, culture, and intergenerational knowledge sharing.
In her spare time, Cora enjoys birding, kayaking, and researching her family history—interests that reflect her strong connection to the land, water, and her Métis roots.

Dennis Bradbury
Councilor-at-Large, Thames Bluewater Métis Council
As the owner of Fully Promoted North London, Dennis Bradbury helps local businesses build their brands through custom apparel and promotional products. For Dennis, building strong relationships is a core value rooted in his Indigenous heritage. The Longlade family, part of the Historic Métis Community of Georgian Bay, has a rich history that spans generations and geography. The family’s roots can be traced back to Charles Longlade, who was a documented Métis.
Driven by this legacy of connection and service, Dennis actively gives back to his local community as the Vice President of the Rotary Club of London South. He brings an academic foundation from Humber College and York University to his professional endeavors. When he is not working or volunteering, Dennis is an avid sports lover who enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, who works for the Eating Disorders Foundation of Canada.
