With sadness in our hearts the Niagara Region Métis Council is letting our Metis Community know of the passing of long time Councilor Kelly Brishke.
With respect for Kelly’s family Council has waited to let our Community know that Kelly lost her battle with cancer and was taken by the Creator on February 17, 2026.
Kelly had joined the Niagara Region Métis Council in 2014 as a Councilor then later stepped up to fill the roll as Council Secretary. Many will remember Kelly at Councils events helping at the Council store, at our Family Camps helping teaching Metis Culture to our young Metis learners.
Giving to others was a way of life for Kelly. We will miss your smile.
