On May 24th, our GRMC community had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a tree-planting morning with the City of Guelph.
It was inspiring to learn about the incredible work the City is doing to create and sustain healthy, diverse forests for generations to come. Together, we planted a wide variety of trees and wildflowers, as well as traditional medicines, including sweetgrass.
Our kids were absolutely amazing! They worked together, got their hands in the soil, and showed such enthusiasm and care throughout the morning. It was beautiful to see them learning, connecting with nature, and building friendships along the way.
The City was so impressed with our group that they invited us back for another day of planting – a wonderful recognition of the spirit and commitment of our community.
We are so proud of the community we are building together.
