Members of the Clear Waters Métis Council were proud to gather with citizens and council representatives at this year’s Annual General Assembly. Although the wildfires required the gathering to be relocated from Thunder Bay to Toronto, the change made it possible for additional members of our council to attend. While we missed the opportunity to connect on the lands and within the community of Thunder Bay, we were grateful to come together in a spirit of resilience, responsibility, and kinship.
From fostering friendships to fine-tuning finances, and from honouring our shared history to helping shape our collective future, the AGA offered meaningful opportunities to learn, contribute, and strengthen relationships across the Métis Nation of Ontario. Clear Waters returned home energized by the conversations, connections, and important work of Métis governance.
