Jim Tolles, our Captain of the Hunt Liaison has launched a regional “Stop the Spray” Métis Dot Art initiative, inviting each of our Community Councils to get creative while helping raise awareness about an important environmental issue.
Jim has dropped off an unfinished Métis dot art painting at each Council office, with an invitation for the Council to complete it. Councils that finish their artwork and bring it to the Regional Powley Day Rendezvous at Guelph Lake will receive a 3D-printed trap and skull from Jim to use in future displays, educational activities, and teachings.
This regional activity connects with the broader Stop the Spray Canada initiative, which advocates for alternatives to aerial herbicide spraying in Canadian forests.
