Fruit Tree and Berry Bush Registration

Last Day to Register: Sunday, August 9th, 2026
The Thames Bluewater Métis Council is very excited to announce that, thanks to Tree Canada and Northbridge, we can purchase some fruit trees and berry bushes for our citizens to plant at your own homes.
There are a few requirements:
1) You must own your own home. Fruit trees and bushes are intended to be permanent plantings and may take several years to reach full production.
2) Tree Canada is asking for pictures to be posted on our social media, website and newsletter and for them to be tagged. Photos can be emailed to us, and you do not need to show your face; just photos of the process, if you are not comfortable being in the photos.
3) The council will be sending out quarterly emails for the care and maintenance of your tree/bush to ensure the survival and health of the plant.
4) You must register by clicking the link below and filling out the form. We have a limited number of trees and bushes.
5) Upon pickup, it will be first come first serve. Some of the trees/bushes we will try to order from the nursery are: various apple trees, pear trees, cherry trees, blueberry, blackberry and raspberry bushes.
6) Mulch, soil, fertilizer, tree protectors, sticks and string will be supplied when picking up your tree or bush.
7) If you need help with planting your tree/bush or wish to volunteer with helping to plant other people’s fruit trees or bushes, please indicate that when you register.
